Christopher Paul Perrons was
born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England on December 1, 1962.
His mother is Jean, once a factory worker, and his father
Andre is a chef who served in the Royal Navy and completed two
tours on the famed Royal Yacht "Britannia."
Denise is his younger sister,
and David is his older brother. Chris attended and graduated
from Springfield School in Portsmouth in 1980. He had
participated in the drama group and practiced Shotokan karate.
He first wanted to be a doctor, then later, an armourer for
the Royal Air Force. For more than 16 years he served as a
weapons and explosives specialist in the RAF. He has been a
stevedore. Off-stage and away from the camera, Perrons works
as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer in the finance
industry and a part-time banquet server for a major hotel.
Perrons developed an early interest in
acting. When he was six years old he auditioned for a role in
the Oscar-winning movie Oliver. Not cast, he tasted
professional disappointment at a tender age, but his interest
continued. In the 1970s, at Springfield, he played rebellious
Ralph in Lord of the Flies; villainous Bill
Sykes in Oliver Twist; and defendant John Proctor in
The Crucible. Early on Chris’ versatility showed, and
today it is the hallmark of his work. Great actors like Dame
Judi Dench and Gary Oldman have inspired him.
In 1995, Chris married his second wife
Cynthia Frances, aka
Frances Welford. He left the Royal Air
Force to join her in Florida in 1998 and share a penchant for
entertaining and applause. Aside from formally studying acting
and its business, he has completed other advanced education
and holds an A.S. in computer networking, along with M.C.S.E.,
CNA, and Comptia A+ training.
Perrons’ first community theatre role in
the U.S. was Not Now, Darling for the Emma Parrish
Playhouse, Titusville (2001), and other roles followed. He
often performs in musical and romantic plays at the Historic
Cocoa Village Playhouse. It was while earning his A.S. that
his keen interest in Shakespeare sparked. He has since played
Hortensio in Taming of the Shrew in Titusville, 2003. A
favorite quote is from that play, "Study what you most
effect." Another is from Yoda, "Do or do not. There is no
try."
Chris studied under Simon Needham,
Michael Cairns, and Yvonne Suhor (on going). He engages in a
consistent, relentless pursuit of excellence. His impressive
filmography reveals continually building credits. He’s
appeared in many independent film company productions in a
wide variety of roles, including leads such as Mr. White in
The Monkey’s Paw. He has appeared in corporate training
films and commercials. May 9, 2004 marked his debut on the
Travel Channel in Spies of WWII, (Pine-Ridge
Productions) as a CIA operative.
He models and achieved finalist status in
the Mr. Romance Pageant at the Romantic Times Booklover
Convention, 2001 and 2002. In 2003 he appeared as himself and
discussed acting in a workshop for writers. Perrons is the
cover model for Midnight With Maverick (2004), by
Karen
Hudgins.
Culinary favorites of Indian, quality
Mexican, British and Asian foods please his palate. Perrons
also likes a variety of music from heavy rock to opera, and
from country to classical. He’s full of Brit wit and is
passionate and kind. He enjoys nature and tranquility, some
sports, and works out for total body strength and sculpting.
His favorite movies include The French Connection,
Princess Bride, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and
Galaxy Quest.
Among his special skills Perrons can
emulate many different dialects. He’s a certified advanced
driver (UK). Horseback riding (English & western), black belt
2nd Dan Karate, Tae Kwon Do are more of his
capabilities. Trivia: Chris Perrons doesn’t read reviews. He’s
predominantly left-handed, but can do most things with his
right hand like using chopsticks! He also likes to cook.
